Villa Maria project featured in Peruvian press!

More news from our project partners in Villa Maria. Check out this article about the developing relationship between the project and the Mayor of Villa Maria del Triunfo, who are soon to sign an Agreement of Mutual Cooperation.

For those of you who can't read Spanish, here's what it says:
"Members of the organization Quest Overseas met with the Mayor of Villa Maria del Triunfo, Silvia Barrera Vásquez, who seemed very thankful for all the work that this group of young volunteers carried out in our district, during their stay.
This meeting took place during an event to celebrate the Day of the Child, organised for the pupils of the Quest Overseas School, a school set up by this organization a number of years ago in our community.
The organization aims to bring together young adults from diverse countries, to take part in volunteering expeditions throughout South America and Africa. In Villa Maria del Triunfo this organisation has donated pre-fabricated houses to six families in the jurisdiction, as well as having carried out a campaign to paint 100 houses in the remote zones of the district.
These volunteers worked together with the district municipality, the cultural group "Generación Zoe" and Vania Masías' dance school, D1 Dance.
The Mayor Barrera  thanked these courageous travellers and urged other groups to promote this initiative, for the good of society."

This recognition by the Mayor of the work carried out in Villa Maria is a very important step forward for our project. Let's hope that this relationships develops and helps promote our project in Villa Maria.
