See your donation to Villa Maria doubled this December

Quest4Change have teamed up with the Big Give to potentially double any online donation you make between 10am on 5th December and 5pm on 18th December.

This year we have decided to raise funds for the Quest School in Villa MariaSo if you donate £10, it could be worth £20 to Villa Maria!
We're hoping to raise £400 in online donations that will be doubled to £800. Can you help us reach our target?

Life in Villa Maria
The Peruvian shanty town of Villa Maria is one of the largest in the world, home to over 700,000 people. Here, overcrowding and a lack of formal infrastructure have resulted in extreme poverty, which acutely affects the development of children in the district. Education is compulsory in Peru, but in Villa Maria there are too few public school to meet demand. This often leads to children seeing no other way forward than getting involved in gangs and drugs.

The Quest School
Working closely with the local community, we established a small pre-primary school in 2003, offering either subsidised or free education to the poorest children in the area. Over the years we have expanded the school to take in 180 children, aged between 3 and 11 years old. The Quest School is just one of the programmes that we carry out in Villa Maria, one that helps interrupt the cycle of poverty in the area - on average each extra year of schooling increases a person's adult wages by nearly 10%.

How your donation could help
  • £50 could equip the school with a variety of  traditional Peruvian instruments
  • £120 could pay a teacher's salary for a month
  • £200 could sponsor a child to attend school for one year
  • £200 could pay for a new computer for the school's IT suite
Double your donation for free this December and help fund the Quest School in Villa Maria. To make your donation go twice as far, simply donate via our Big Give project page: http://new.thebiggive.org.uk/project/vmschool from 10am on 5th December.
