One of the most brilliant things about the Quest volunteers that work on our projects is the way that they stay involved with their project long after they've left....here's just a couple of recent examples of some fantastic ex-volunteers doing great things for their projects....
> Helena Smith first visited Villa Maria in 1998 as a gap year volunteer, where the place made a big impression, and earlier this year she was able to finally get back to Lima to visit. What a lot of progress in the intervening years! One place that made a huge impression was the Quest Pre-Primary and Primary School, opened in 2003.
Quest has been working hard over the past couple of years to expand the school to accept 180 children, and with the support of Charitable Trusts and individuals like Chantel Owen, it's been very successful. The icing on the cake is support from ex-volunteers like Helena who has donated £350 to pay for the new desks needed at the school - thank you!!
> Another ex-volunteer who deserves a shout-out is John who got a few friends on board to tackle the Three Peaks to raise money for WaterAid and Joshua Orphan & Community Care. John was one of the first volunteers from Quest out to Malawi in 2006 and he had this to say about it:

"I was one of the first groups Quest had sent out there and we built a 2-room school block. I had a fantastic time and really loved the community and the way they welcomed us and looked after us. I was lucky enough to meet Sylvia and see first-hand some of the work that Joshua were doing and the positive impact it was having and it is great to see how well the charity is continuing to do. "
