Brilliant Monday News

It's always good to start the week with some good news and we are delighted to share ours with you. This morning we received a £1,000 donation for our boys disability project in Brazil from the fabulous Strathspey Charitable Trust. This donation couldn't have come at a better time, as a fantastic member of staff, Fernanda Vieira took over the running of the home in December. She has shown herself to be dedicated, experienced and trustworthy, having worked at Casa Lar for years and she is now managing the home expertly.

The plans she and Danny Martinez (Brazil project manager) drew up in March of this year have already transformed the lives of these young men, who you can see in the picture below on a day trip to the Botanical gardens, which was supported by funding from the UK. These days out bring incredible joy into the lives of these young men as well as helping to build their self confidence, his support from the Strathspey Charitable Trust will ensure that this work continues.
