Dave's 100 miles for Quest4Change

On Sunday 10th August ex-Questie Dave Maybank will be joining thousands of other cyclists at the starting line of the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 race. Kicking off in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, these budding cyclists will follow closed roads through the capital, into Surrey, back into central London and finally finishing in The Mall.

Dave took advantage of one of Quest4Change's charity entries to this heavily oversubscribed race. A chance to not only put his physical endurance to the test, but also to raise vital funds for our projects overseas.

Here's what Dave has to say about why he decided to take on this challenge in aid of Quest4Change:
"Having been part of the amazing Quest Water Relief Project in Kenya almost six years ago, I always keep an eye on Quest's activities, and in particular the Kenya project. I have great memories from that summer and am delighted to see that the project is still running successfully and making a difference to people’s lives. I am also aware that this can only carry on with continued financial support.
This is why I’ve decided to get out there and raise some money for Quest to make sure that these projects and many more will continue to improve lives across Africa and South America.
The RideLondon-Surrey 100 is a great opportunity for me to do this and it is going to be a spectacular event - riding through the closed roads of London and the beautiful hills of Surrey with around 50,000 other cyclists.
It’s given me the motivation to get out on my bike, and to get fitter and faster before the big ride. If you can, please help me hit my fundraising target of £750 by donating as much as you can through my fundraising page: https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/daves100miles."
Entries for this year's RideLondon event are now closed, but we do have guaranteed entries for 2015. If you fancy taking on the challenge of cycling 100 miles for Quest4Change, download our application form here or drop us a line.
