Puma cubs set to arrive at Jacq Cuisi, Bolivia

The park of Jacj Cuisi is eagerly awaiting the arrival of two baby pumas.  Quest4Change works with the parks of Inti Wara Yassi in Bolivia, supporting their work providing new suitable homes and rehabilitation of mistreated wild animals.

This summer, 10 Quest volunteers worked very hard in the difficult conditions of the Bolivian jungle to complete a new enclosure at the park for the puma cubs. The volunteers spent four weeks digging, carrying, mixing, cementing, before a two week stint getting to know some of the animals up close in Park Ambue Ari.  Currently the puma cubs are spending time being looked after in a private house, which is less than ideal.

The global wild animal trade is worth over $5 billion annually, and results in awful treatment during transportation and captivity - Quest4Change is doing what it can to stop this. And here in the UK, we're looking forward to getting the first pictures through of the happy (and undoubtedly very cute!) cubs in their new, suitable environment.

Below is one of the older pumas, Carlos, enjoying his exercise with Gap year volunteer Gen.
