Hard graft in Malawi

The Malawi gap team have got off to a brilliant start on their project, working hard on the doctors accommodation they're building. It's been hard work, but as one volunteer said "helping out at the orphan feeding centre seems to be tougher!"

By Friday they had built all the walls and everyone was surprised at how fast it’s going. They are now all brick laying pros.

Why does Quest4Change support this project?

Malawi is an incredibly poor country, an estimated 400,000 children have been orphaned. Each village community often supports over 100 of these orphaned and vulnerable children. The projects we support help provide food and shelter to these orphans, by giving financial support to buy maize and physical help to build community centres which then act as a health clinic, a canteen for the orphans and a classroom for all the village's children.
