Lots of good memories

Well it is my last day here at Quest4Change and I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped make my time here truly memorable. Working at Quest4Change has given me invaluable experience in the charity sector and I will forever be thankful for the fantastic opportunity given to me by Kunal and Michael, the charities Trustees, and Andy, Simon, Jon, Sarah and Ben at Quest for all their support.

Well that's enough about me, lets look at all the great things that we have achieved:
  • Securing funding to extend the Quest school in Villa Maria, this will enable a further 100 children to receive an the vital education they are currently being denied.
  • Having out first ever volunteer roly poly challenge - congratulations to Garion, who roly polyed for over a mile to raise funds for Villa Maria
  • Raising over £11,500 for the Casa Lar home for disabled boys, supporting the home through it's darkest hours and working with the local community to save it from closure.
  • Having our first ever Marathon team run the Brighton Marathon 2010 - raising over £2,300 for the projects
  • Building homes for the poorest families in Villa Maria - this years summer team built an incredible 8 homes in just 4 weeks - well done team!
  • Walking 23miles in aid of Joshua Orphan and Community Care in Malawi - in Bright orange t-shirts Sarah, Heather and Tom will never forget the day they ignored Eddie Izzard because of exhaustion.
  • The crew at Towers Watson continuing to find interesting and fun ways to raise funds for Villa Maria, from exploiting the world cup to exploiting their colleagues need for cake - the team are legends here in the Quest office.
  • Harry Owen decided that he would support his daughter, Chantel's volunteering efforts in Villa Maria this summer by asking guests to his 50th birthday party for a donation to Quest4Change - and he's raised over £1,200 - Thank you to Harry and all his guests.
