The recent disruption to air travel caused by the Iceland volcano has dramatically reduced trade between Africa and Europe and other continents. This has been a severe hit for a number of African industries, affecting farmers across Africa, from Zambia's flower and vegetable industry to Uganda's fish and flower buisinesses to West Africa's cocoa producers.
